I was honored to be a part of the town hall meeting held tonight at Jefferson Center in Roanoke to address the problem highlighted by a survey of kids in the City of Roanoke about underage drinking.

There were so many statistics discussed but not many people from the community came out to talk about ways to solve the problem… perhaps that is because they didn’t know about it or perhaps because they were too busy… whatever the reason some of the speakers tonight proved one person can make a difference… that small groups make a difference in this world and our local communities.

The local high school students dedicated to making a difference for local children and teens who fall into the alcohol abuse trap were had such good perspective on the topic that I stayed to hear everyone of them speak…

Angela Hatcher put together a very detailed report about tonight’s meeting that can be found on our main pagehttp://www.wsls.com"> http://www.wsls.com

There will be two more town hall meetings this week if you would like to get involved in the process of finding a solution to a problem that is being seen in our local communities and school systems.
