Governor Tim Kaine reveals a little more about his contact with Democratic Presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama.

In an interview with an NBC News crew at the annual Chincoteague Pony Swim this morning, Kaine said he has not spoken to Obama recently.  “No, not for, gosh, for a number of weeks. Since before his trip,“ Kaine said.

Kaine insists that he has no hints about where the process is for the selection of a running mate.  The Governor also said has has no hints about the timing for the Vice-Presidential running mate selection either.

When asked about how he feels about being mentioned in connection with the running mate search, Kaine responded with a smile, “It’s nice to be speculated about.“

Kaine is the national co-chair of Obama’s campaign.  He was also the first Governor to publicly endorse Obama for President.
