Democrat challenger Tom Perriello taken in more than $600,000 in his race against U.S. Rep. Virgil Goode, according to campaign reports.
This is the most amount of money a Democratic challenger has been able to raise against Goode at this point in the campaign.
The Charlottesville Democrat has about $500,000 in available cash.
The report says Perriello received donation from more than 1,200 people - including citizens of all 22 counties and municipalities of the Fifth District.
