Education: Bachelor's degree and law degree from University of Virginia
Career: Gilmore won election for the first time in 1987 when he was elected Henrico's commonwealth's attorney. In 1993, he ran for state attorney general and won. Four years later, he was elected governor of Viriginia. He left office in January 2002.
Family: He has a wife, Roxanne, and two grown sons, Jay and Ashton.

Education: Bachelor's degree from George Washington University; law degree from Harvard
Career: Warner managed the gubernatorial race of L. Douglas Wilder in 1989. During Wilder's term, he served as chairman of the Virginia Democratic Party. He served as governor of Virginia from 2002 to 2006.
Family: He has a wife, Lisa Collis, and three daughters, Madison, Gillian, and Eliza.
