Del. Robert G. Marshall, R-Prince William, has named a former Family Foundation staff member as his campaign manager in Virginia’s U.S. Senate race
Steve Waters, who led the successful grass-roots effort in support of the marriage amendment to the Virginia Constitution in 2006, will manage Marshall’s campaign.
Marshall is seeking the GOP nomination to run for the Senate against Democrat Mark R. Warner. Marshall is opposed by former Gov. Jim Gilmore and Bob Berry, a political activist from Springfield.
A veteran newsman, Bill Kling of Heathsville, will be Marshall’s news director.
Waters was director of statewide grassroots operations for The Family Foundation of Virginia, a conservative, anti-abortion organization.
