JAMES RIVER KNOWS PLENTY ABOUT DIAMOND PROWESS. THE KNIGHTS WON ANOTHER BASEBALL GAME MONDAY, TAKING OUT A FIFTEEN WIN GLENVAR TEAM 12-2.  BUT PRIOR TO THAT CONTEST, THEIR SOFTBALL DIAMOND PROWESS WAS ALSO WELL REPRESENTED.
THE KNIGHTS INFIELDER AND NUMBER TWO PITCHER, GINNI NEIGHBORS, SIGNS ON THE DOTTED LINE TO UVA WISE. HEAD COACH JOHN SHOTWELL, WHO RECENTLY KNOTCHED HIS 300TH CAREER WIN AT JAMES RIVER, SAYS THAT NEIGHBORS IS A VERSATILE ATHLETE WHO CAN HELP UVA-WISE IN LOTS OF WAYS. SHE RECENTLY HAS PITCHED EXTREMELY WELL AS OF LATE, WHICH TAKES THE PRESSURE OFF THE KNIGHTS STAR ABBIE REXRODE. NEIGHBORS SAYS THE DAY, AND THE SIGNING MEANT ALOT TO HER--AS DO HER TEAMMATES--WHO WERE ON HAND TO SHARE IN THE CELEBRATION.
