Lynchburg College men’s basketball team has winning mindset
The Hornets struggled on the court and finished with a dismal 3-22 record last season. Off the court, things were even worse. A plane crash on Nov. 21 severely injured starters Jason Early and Sean Sutherland. Early’s father, Brian, was killed in the accident.
Lynchburg College women’s baskeball team has high expectations

Liberty University part of ESPN’s College Hoops Tip-off Marathon
If it seemed odd that Liberty and UNC Asheville were opening the Big South basketball season Tuesday, Nov. 18, well ... it was. But there was a reason, and it was finally officially unveiled Wednesday. The Flames and Bulldogs will play a nationally televised game at noon as part of ESPN’s College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

UVA women to take on Tennessee in basketball

Just weeks after Ryan was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tenn., it was announced that the legendary coach will take the Virginia women’s basketball team back to the state for an early-season test this year against the two-time defending national champions.
