2 Virginia college basketball players on national watch list

Virginia Commonwealth’s Eric Maynor, Virginia’s Sean Singletary and Boston College’s Tyrese Rice are among the 16 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award, symbolic of the nation’s top point guard.
Rice is from L.C. Bird High School in Chesterfield County.
Screening committees picked the finalists from 60 candidates in all three NCAA divisions. The winner will be announced at the Final Four on April 7 in San Antonio.
Fans can vote for their favorite point guard online at http://www.cousyaward.com. The top vote-getter receives one vote on the committee that selects the winner.
