GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Georgia Tech’s Matt Causey and Duke’s DeMarcus Nelson are the co-players of the week in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The league on Monday also named North Carolina State’s J.J. Hickson as its rookie of the week.
Causey had two 18-point games in road victories at N.C. State and Virginia, scoring 12 points in overtime against the Cavaliers.
Nelson averaged 18.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in wins at Virginia Tech and Maryland, including a career-best 27 points against the Terrapins.
Hickson earned his third rookie award after a pair of double-doubles. He had 16 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to Georgia Tech and had 12 points and 10 rebounds and broke a 66-all tie with two late free throws in a win at Florida State.
