While sledding on snow covered roads is a popular option, drivers are dealing with the headache of digging out.

Jim Borland prepared for the storm over the weekend.

He's got nowhere to go, but spent part of Tuesday morning clearing off his driveway just to be safe.

"We've had our meals in the house and just stayed there," Borland said. "Then we came out this morning, it looked beautiful and we decided we better get this driveway cleared so we can get out if we need to."

It's a similar philosophy used by the Hill City.

Workers spent much of Tuesday digging out Main Street and other primary roads.

It forced the few people walking downtown to make their own path, and for some to find a way into work.

"I have a Toyota Corolla that is buried in the snow. So there was no way," said Drew Devering, an employee at Market at Main.

He had to find a ride into work.

It was one of the few spots open downtown Tuesday morning.

"I laugh a little bit because Market at Main doesn't close for anything," Devering said. "I knew there was no way we would be closed. I think it's a good reputation to have."

It proved to be good news for people able to make it out.

While others continue to wait for the snow plow.
