Virginia Tech’s Brett Warren was the Atlantic Coast Conference defensive lineman of the week and running back Darren Evans was tabbed as the ACC’s rookie of the week.
Warren, senior inside linebacker, recorded a career-high, 15 tackles (five solo) with a half a tackle for loss and a forced fumble in Virginia Tech’s 20-17 ACC win over Georgia Tech.
Evans, a red-shirt freshman, ran for a career-high 94 yards on 19 carries in Tech’s win over Georgia Tech. he scored a touchdown for the third-straight game, taking it in from 8-yards out and had a long run of 24 yards on Tech’s game-winning drive.
