Hokies’ snapper seeks homecoming crown

Matt Tuttle, Tech’s junior backup long snapper, is running a spirited campaign to become homecoming king. He distributed promotional T-shirts to his teammates, which most of them wore Tuesday to media interviews.
The shirts read: JOIN THE HUDDLE. VOTE FOR TUTTLE. They have a cartoon outline of a player snapping the ball on the front and Tuttle’s last name and number, 63, on the back. Students vote for homecoming king and queen online. The winners will be announced at halftime Saturday.
