Spring football practice officially kicks off for Virginia Tech.

WSLS Sports director John Appicello is live at the first Spring practice for the Hokies

So far, coach Frank Beamer is taking it easy on his surgically repaired knee.  We saw him riding and watching the players on a golf cart.

The Hokies are looking to fill key roles on the team.  They lost 20 seniors, who made up the most successful senior class in school history.
