The Glenvar girls enjoyed senior day activities, then got to business against a tough Floyd Co team. Glenvar posted two first innings runs as Chasidy Williams knocked in Jordan Herald, then Meridith Buckley plated Williams for a two to nothing lead. Buckley combined with Julile Helton on a three hit shutout with 10 K’s, and Glenvar added two more runs in the sixth to ice away the 4-0 win, and the Three Rivers District Regular season title. In other softball outings...Cave Spring handled Pulaski Co at Pulaski by a 9-1 count.
In Boys baseball action, Hidden Valley continued its hot hitting with an 11-1 demolition of visiting Christiansburg. The Titans got a Grand Slam in the first from Mike O’Brien and a pair of home runs from Zack Helgeson in the 5 inning River Ridge District win.
