DRY FORK — Tunstall was swept by Cave Spring on Monday, falling 1-0 and 3-0 in a pair of five-inning games.
Brittany Arnn struck out three and surrendered five hits in the first game. Heather Francisco had a double. Tunstall had the bases loaded but was unable to score. Cave Spring strung together three base hits and a sacrifice in second inning for its lone run.
In the second game, Sarah Smith struck out four and allowed six hits for Tunstall, which had runners in scoring position in the fourth and fifth innings but again was unable to score. Jenna Rudder and Nicole Barbour each had two singles for the Trojans.
In junior varsity action, Cave Spring defeated Tunstall 5-4. Kendall Bowling had two hits, Jessica Hylton smacked a double and Britney Hyler had a base hit for Tunstall, which hosts Bassett today.
