High School Basketball Tournament Coverage: Liberty dominates Staunton River in Seminole District

The Liberty High School boys basketball team gave a dominating performance in the opening round of the Seminole District tournament Monday night. Liberty easily handled Staunton River 75-50.
Chris Harmon led Liberty with 27 points, seven rebounds and four steals in the Minutemen’s victory over visiting Staunton River in the Seminole District tournament quarterfinals.
Liberty (14-9) plays Rustburg, which defeated Amherst 57-47, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Jefferson Forest.
Mike Lynch led the Golden Eagles (3-19) with 18 points.
