A few local high schools’ girls basketball teams crack the top 10 in the latest Associated Press poll.
The Brookville Bees come in at #2 in the Group AA poll. They also received two first place votes. The Bees have a 20-0 record.
Hidden Valley follows Brookville at #3, and Bassett is behind the Titans at #4. Pulaski County comes in at #8.
In Group A, Floyd County ranks #2. The Buffaloes did not receive any first place votes.
Chatham is the only other local team to make it in, at #9. Radford, Auburn, and Grayson County each received votes, but did not receive enough.
No local school earned a spot in the Group AAA top 10.
