Ashley Plantation Pro Chip Sullivan will try to make his third PGA Tour cut in four tries when he tees it up beginning Thursday at Quail Hollow in Charlotte. Chip has six PGA tour exempts this year after winning the PGA Club Pro Championship last year. Sullivan finished tied for 33rd in New Orleans in his last PGA event at the end of March. Sullivan will face a field that includes 15 of the top 20 in the world when he tees it up at 2:10 on Thursday from the 10th tee. His playing partners for Round One are Australian Matt Jones and American Kevin Streelman. Chip is expecting a large contingent from his club in Botetourt County to help cheer him on this weekend.
