Salem honors state champs with parade

SALEM, Va. –      Because of the late return home Sunday night from Williamsburg, Salem waited until a more appropriate Friday night to honor their Class 4 state football champs with a victory parade on Main street.
   Coach Stephen Magenbauer's club trampled a previously undefeated Louisa County team 43-22 to win their third straight Class 4 title.
    Salem is 54-4 over the last four seasons, including wins over Lake Taylor in the 2015 final and Dinwiddie in the 2016 title game. The Spartans finished the season at 13-2.
