Katie Love joined the WSLS 10 team in October 2012 as a digital journalist. She grew up in Florida and spent high school and college in Texas. Katie may have to buy her first winter coat living in the Roanoke Valley, but she is excited to explore the Commonwealth.
Katie is a proud TCU Horned Frog. She graduated with a broadcast journalism degree and a minor in theater and sociology. In college, she interned with the TODAY show and MSNBC in D.C., NBC5 and the CW33 in Dallas, and the South Florida Today Show in Miami.
Katie got her official start as a reporter/fill-in anchor in Joplin, Missouri covering one of the deadliest tornadoes in U.S. history. She also spent several months as a morning weather anchor, believe it or not!
In her spare time she enjoys reading, spinning, improv comedy, and everything and anything about Tina Fey.
She is excited to be the eyes and ears for WSLS viewers. She welcomes and encourages any story ideas to be sent to her e-mail.
