Hokies' James Gayle will return to stacked defense

The fear factor for Bud Foster's defense, just keeps climbing. Defensive end James Gayle became the latest Hokie decide to return to school, announcing his decision via twitter. Gayle says he will "postpone his NFL ambitions" and play for Virginia Tech, citing his pursuit of both a degree and a championship.
The Hampton native was second team All-ACC for the second straight season, had a career high 43 tackles, 27 quarterback hurries and 5 sacks. The Hokies now have nine returning starters from a defense that continued to improve in 2012, and finished the year with three outstanding performances.
