Wythe grand jurors return indictments

Defendants from Wythe County, Virginia and other states will now face trials in Circuit Court after being indicted this week on felony charges ranging from robbery to kidnapping.

An indictment is only an allegation, and a judge or jury will ultimately determine if the defendants are found guilty or not guilty of the crimes of which they’re accused.

Here is a list of Monday’s indictments:

Brandon Deon Alford, 28, of Rural Retreat was indicted on charges of manufacturing/etc. drugs, possessing with the intent to manufacture/etc. drugs, distributing or possessing with the intent to distribute marijuana and three counts of possessing a gun with drugs.

Larry Dalton Banes, 29, of Bland was indicted on a charge of assaulting a law enforcement officer.

Lauren Elizabeth Battson, 29, of Wytheville was indicted on a drug possession charge.

Darrell Wayne Blankenship, 50, of Max Meadows was indicted on charges of driving while intoxicated-third or subsequent offense and driving after being declared an habitual offender.

Casey William Buck, 25, of Rural Retreat was indicted on a drug possession charge.

Sara Marie Burchett, 46, of Wytheville was indicted on a petit larceny charge.

Steven Jerome Burks, 29, of Wytheville was indicted on a manufacturing/etc. a controlled substance charge.

Preston Christopher Clark, 35, of Wytheville was indicted on a drug possession charge.

Aaron Eugene Corvin, 18, of Wytheville was indicted on an arson charge.

Ron Alonzo Crockett, 44, of Wytheville was indicted on an assault and battery of a family member charge.

Tracy Leon Davis Jr., 29, of Wytheville was indicted on a kidnapping charge.

Eric Donald Edwards, 34, of Woodlawn was indicted on charges of unlawful wounding and not reporting an accident where damage was involved.

Carl Blaine Fisher, 19, of Dublin was indicted on an unlawful wounding charge.

James Earl Fortune Jr., 31, of Rural Retreat was indicted on charges of possessing drugs (two counts), manufacturing/etc. a controlled substance, selling or distributing drugs, and selling or providing drugs for resale.

Tiffany Leen Fortune, 24, of Rural Retreat was indicted on a drug possession charge.

Angela Denise Gardner, 37, of Cana was indicted on a charge of assaulting a law enforcement officer.

Kelly Ann Gilbert, 35, of Atkins was indicted on a drug possession charge.

Douglas George Gravely, 45, of Galax was indicted on a charge of driving after being declared an habitual offender.

Samantha Renee Havens, 19, of Atkins was indicted on a drug possession charge.

Lacreeta Frederica Jackson, 48, of Birmingham, Ala., was indicted on charges of credit card forgery (12 counts), credit card number larceny (two counts) and obtaining money by false pretenses (four counts).

Tara Lee Jackson, 30, of Harper’s Ferry, W.Va., was indicted on a charge of kidnapping her child and going to another state.

Tom Jakubiak, 34, of Wytheville was indicted on charge of failing to return rental property.

Claude Wesley Jenkins, 54, of Wytheville was indicted on a charge of failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

Emily K. Jennings, 41, of Wytheville was indicted on charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Tracy Kulpa, 43, of Max Meadows was indicted on two counts of failing to return rental property.

Jeffrey Kyle Linkous Jr., 19, of Rural Retreat was indicted on a drug possession charge.

James Carl Matney, 54, of Wytheville was indicted on charges of destruction of property and burglary.

Gregory Lynn Mills, 44, of Max Meadows was indicted on a driving while intoxicated-third or subsequent offense charge.

Donald Cloyd Mitchell III, 33, of Crockett was indicted on a grand larceny charge.

John V. Murinchack Jr., 46, of Binghamton, N.Y., was indicted on a charge of assaulting a law enforcement officer.

Timothy Rashid Sabree Muse, 25, of Roanoke was indicted on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Thomas Keith Peak, 32, of Max Meadows was indicted on a robbery charge.

Leutisha Dawn Pridemore, 19, of Wytheville was indicted on two shoplifting charges.

Angie Miller Queen, 37, of Wytheville was indicted on a burglary charge.

Randy Lee Reeves, 39, of Wytheville was indicted on a drug possession charge.

Jeremy Lee Robbinette, 31, of Marion was indicted on charges of manufacturing/etc. a controlled substance and methamphetamine distribution.

Dakota Allen Smith, 25, of Wytheville was indicted on two shoplifting charges.

James Curt Stringer, 40, of Wytheville was indicted on charges of manufacturing/etc. a controlled substance and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Alfred Ray Stroupe III, 33, of Wytheville was indicted on a malicious wounding charge.

Tabitha Lynn Suggs, 43, of Max Meadows was indicted on a charge of assaulting a law enforcement officer.

Lonnie Jarrod Tate, 29, of Max Meadows was indicted on an assault and battery of family member-third offense charge.

Joseph Taylor III, 39, of Wytheville was indicted on two shoplifting charges.

Shelby W. Taylor, 38, of Max Meadows was indicted on a shoplifting charge.

Justin Michael Thompson, 25, of Bland was indicted on a charge of making a false statement on a criminal history consent form.

Melissa Hibbitt Turner, 35, of Austinville was indicted on a drug possession charge.

Carol McAllister Walters, 62, of Wytheville was indicted on a methamphetamine distribution charge.

Zachary Rex Wheeler, 22, of Barren Springs was indicted on a charge of obtaining money by false pretense.

Kim Louise Whitt, 35, of Rural Retreat was indicted on a charge of obtaining drugs by fraud.

Josiah Tanner Williams, 19, of Wytheville was indicted on charges of grand larceny and possessing stolen property with the intent to sell.

Jeffrey Clinton Wolford, 35, of Max Meadows was indicted on a charge of making a false statement on a criminal history consent form.

William James Ziglar, 27, of Wytheville was indicted on a grand larceny charge.
