Polish up your resume this weekend for a job fair in the New River Valley, the area with the biggest employment growth in the Commonwealth over the last year.
Cumulus Media and the Roanoke Blacksburg Technology Council are just some of the organizations teaming up for the 7th annual Putting America Back to Work Job Fair Monday. It's taking place at the Inn at Virginia Tech. The fair is free to job seekers. Dozens of companies across the NRV looking to hire will be there.
"We have larger employers like Virginia Tech, 211 Virginia," explained Cindy Rollison, with Cumulus Media. "Then you have blue collar jobs as well, so it's a wide variety of opportunities for all types of job seekers." You can even get a jump start on the competition by registering online and uploading your resume to up to four employers of your choice in advance.
