Huff Lane developers issue olive branch to Roanoke neighbors - WSLS 10 NBC in Roanoke/Lynchburg Va

Proposed Huff Lane developers issue olive branch

The team wishing to develop the old Huff Lane school property near Valley View Mall has issued neighbors an olive branch.

In its amended proposal, set to go before Roanoke City Council on February 19th, the development team said it will knock ten and a half feet off the proposed height of a pair of hotels it's asking to build.

Neighbors had complained for months the height of the planned buildings would obstruct their view of the mountains.

It was the only change developers made after the Roanoke City Planning Commission voted down their proposal in December.
