New York non-profit makes a difference for NRV family and dog with cancer

A New York non-profit is making a difference for a family and their dog in the NRV.

Jon and Rachael found out their dog Brutus has lymphoma right before Christmas.

The husband and wife were faced with an expensive decision - to treat or not to treat.

Jon came across the Magic Bullet Fund.

It's a website created by a pet owner in New York to help pay for canine cancer treatments for families like theirs who can't afford them

To treat Brutus' lymphoma the vet said it would cost this couple thousands of dollars.

"He's makes us laugh every day, he's the biggest goofball ever.  Every day with him we see it as a blessing we don't what the outcome will be, but we're happy that he's here even for a little bit of extra time," said Rachael Demeglio.

19 weeks of chemo therapy will cost $6,000.
