Roanoke County Police say texting while driving is to blame
for a morning crash.
Officers were called to the 7700 block of Bradshaw Road
around 9:40 a.m. Saturday.
Police say the initial investigation reveals the driver, Tracy
Newman, 24, of Salem was texting while driving and lost control of her vehicle
and hit several trees. It is unknown at
this time as to whether alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the crash. Police
say Newman was wearing a seatbelt and the weather was not a factor.
