Goodwill leaders are happy with a new "Round Up" initiative that has collected nearly $15,000 in its first month.
The next time you're checking out you may be asked if you want to "round up" your total to the next whole dollar.
That money given helps to pay for a program called Reality Check.
The Goodwill goes into local schools and works with students on finances.
The student picks a career, home, number of kids they want and they learn to budget their life.
For each school visit it costs the goodwill about a $1,000, so your donations are making a difference.
Until March money collected through "Round Up" will go towards Reality Check.
Then during the next quarter the money will go to another Goodwill program.
