Roanoke Co. Church vandalized

ROANOKE COUNTY -

The Pastor of Celebration Church of God, on Buck Mountain Road in Roanoke, received a call this morning that the church had been vandalized.

Pastor Sam Belisle showed WSLS the damage. There were several satanic symbols written throughout the building, on the walls, in the sanctuary, on some of the equipment and furniture.

"I cannot believe this has happened," said Beslisle. "I am upset. This is our church, our place of worship."

Belisle said in addition to the damage, there were some stolen items, including some laptop computers and microphones.

Roanoke County officers are investigating. Meanwhile, Belisle said the church would begin cleaning up what they could. Either way, he said the church is planning on having church service this Sunday.
