Family altercation leads to late dismissal at Roanoke elementary school

A "family altercation" in the parking lot of Virginia Heights Elementary School led to a late dismissal this afternoon, according to a spokesman for the Roanoke city school system.

No students were ever in danger, the spokesman said.

Dismissal was about 15 minutes late.
