Henry County deputies search for Walmart shoplifting suspect

Henry County Sheriff's Office news release

The Henry County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shoplifting that occurred on September 6, 2012.  This incident occurred at Wal-Mart which is located at 976 Commonwealth Blvd. Martinsville, Va.

The individual shown in the attached picture came into the Wal-Mart and placed several jugs of laundry detergent along with two boxes of diapers into a shopping buggy.  He then exited the store without paying for the merchandise.

An asset protection associate made contact with this individual outside of the store and asked him to come back inside.  This individual complied at first but then turned and walked away eventually running up toward the Hollywood Cinema.

The items recovered by the asset protection associate were valued at $279.34.

The Henry County Sheriff's Office is requesting the assistance of the public to identify the suspect involved in this shoplifting.

Anyone having information regarding this shoplifting and the individual pictured is asked to contact Inv. S. Barnes at (276)656-4241 or Crimestoppers at 63-CRIME (632-7463).

The Crimestoppers Program offers up to $1,000.00 for information related to crime.  The nature of the crime and the substance of information determine the amount of reward paid.
