
Roanoke City Police news release
The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a business robbery that occurred on February 13, 2013. Officers responded at 10:56 p.m. to the Lafayette Express store located in the 1000 block of Lafayette Boulevard.
Upon arrival they located two store employees who stated that two suspects entered the business. The employees stated that one suspect brandished a firearm while the other demanded money.
The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled. No one was hurt and no arrests have been made.
The suspects are described as two black males between 23 and 27 years of age.
One was approximately six feet tall and weighed approximately 200 pounds. His clothing was described as a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, a knit cap with a bill, and a mask over his face.
The second suspect was approximately six feet tall weighing approximately 180 pounds. His clothing was described as a long sleeve t-shirt with stripes on the sleeves, a black kit cap with a bill, and a mask over his face.
