Roanoke City Police are investigating what caused a crash that blocked part of Orange Avenue Friday afternoon and evening.

According to police department spokeswoman Aisha Johnson, the crash took place at 3:26 p.m., in the eastbound lanes of Orange Avenue near its intersection with King Street in southeast.

Investigators say three vehicles were involved.  A Toyota SUV ended up flipped on its side.
