Developers wishing to build a restaurant and a pair of hotels at the old Huff Lane School site will make their presentation before Roanoke City Council tomorrow night.
After receiving zero support from the Roanoke City Planning Commission, developers decided to drop the proposed height of their hotels by an entire story.
The development team also decided to move the hotels closer to Valley View Boulevard, farther away from Huff Lane.
Neighbors said the height of the hotels would block their mountain view.
City leaders will decide if they want to rezone the property so developers can make their plan happen.
The Dorchester Court Neighborhood Association taped fliers to the front doors of a number of residents living near the old Huff Lane school.
The fliers reminded neighbors that the big rezoning vote is set to happen at city hall tomorrow night, in an effort to rally opposition against the proposed development.
