The Roanoke City Police Department is investigating a weekend shooting.
According to police department spokeswoman Aisha Johnson, officers were called to the 800 block of Westwood Boulevard at 3:46 a.m. on Saturday, February 16th. When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Shaniqua Shaquille Williams, of Roanoke, had been shot.
EMTs took Williams to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.
