More small businesses in the Roanoke Valley are getting online thanks to one of the most well known companies worldwide.
Google held a seminar for local businesses Tuesday at the Taubman Museum of Art in downtown Roanoke.
The workshop aimed at helping business owners create and grow their websites free of charge.
Congressman Bob Goodlatte also spoke to the group about how he's working in Congress to help businesses.
Google estimates 45 percent of Virginia businesses don't have websites.
"Nobody you talk to today is going to say they shouldn't be online. They all know that they should be there," said Google Spokesperson Rebecca Ginsberg. "We've got such a range of businesses here today. I met a dog groomer, a woman with a retail shop a couple of blocks away, plumbers, real estate agents."
Even if you weren't able to attend you can get help with your website from Google for free by clicking here.
