A Patrick County woman says running has made a difference in her life after a life changing fall.
Sarah Brinks now runs at least 30 miles a week.
Even in frigid temperatures she's layered up outside hitting the pavement.
Running is a new past time for Sarah, but beyond that it's rehab since her surgery.
In 2009 doctors fused her neck after a fall in her kitchen.
"I have always been active, but I don't know that I was always fit. Not in recent memory and I feel like I'm fit now and that's great," said Brinks.
To get active Sarah started with a 5K and now she's up to running marathons.
