    In what was a busy Tuesday night in Region tournament action the red-hot Lord Botetourt boys advanced to the Region semi's with a 62-57 win over Turner Ashby. They will take on  EC Glass next on Thursday night. Meanwhile William Byrd handled Harrisonburg 83-60 to advance to the other Region III Division 4 semi versus Heritage.

    In other Boys action, GW Danville over CD Hylton 76-57 while Mountain View eliminated William Fleming 56-44.

    In Girls action, Hidden Valley moved on by defeating Rival Blacksburg 56-32, while William Fleming was one of three Western Valley District teams in the area to all lose on this Tuesday night. Fleming fell to Forest Park 54-42, while both Franklin Co. and GW Danville also lost.

  Other Girls scores in Region III Division 3, Brookville defeats Liberty 47-42 and Fort Defiance over Alleghany 44-27. in AA Region IV ation, Abingdon over Martinsville 75-49 and Tazewell eliminated Cave Spring 63-40.

 In Group A action FLoyd Co rolled in  Region C Division 2 game 100 to 45 over Fort Chiswell. Region C Division I saw Auburn edge Parry McCluer 35-27 and Galax defeats Rural Retreat 59-22. while Grayson Co. edged Graham in overtime 36-31, James River over Chilhowie 62-60 and PH Glade Spring gets by Glenvar 47-44.

    In Blue Ridge conference girls action, Roanoke Catholic ran past North Cross by a 64-32 count.  In the VIC Division II tournament, Hargrave Military over Roanoke Catholic 82-32 and North Cross over Eastern Mennonite 60-37.
