Feb. 20: Jamey Singleton condition update

Posted:

A lot of you have been asking how former WSLS meteorologist Jamey Singleton is doing after a serious car accident in Bedford County on Tuesday morning.

Jamey's news director at WSET in Lynchburg, where Jamey is now working as a fill-in meteorologist and web producer, said he was back in surgery this morning to repair broken bones.

WSET new director, Bill Foy, said nurses told Jamey's family that he had a good night on Tuesday night.

Foy said the family appreciates the outpouring of support from the community.

We'll continue to provide updates on how Jamey's doing and wish him well in his recovery.

Virginia State Police formally charged Jamey with reckless driving on Wednesday.  Investigators say he was eating just before the crash.
