For almost a week fox's TV shows haven't aired for Dish Network customers. Instead this ad is on repeat, saying the problem is with your local fox provider and not dish. That isn't the case says corporate director of creative services Debbie Reardon for Fox 21 27.
"We are in ratings sweeps we know it is race week in Daytona of course we wouldn't do this to our viewers. Not only for the inconvenience but because we are in ratings. It is a little suspicious to us why dish did this knowing the area loves NASCAR"
Viewers aren't happy, especially since the Daytona 500 race is set to air on fox this Sunday.
Reardon says 20 percent of their viewers have Dish network. Grant communications is working to get the channel back on saying pennies are in dispute during these negotiations.
"When they say we are going up three times the money I am going to put it in this context 30 cents is three times as much as 10 cents," says Reardon.
Dish Network maintains they are not the ones at fault. Spokesman John Hall says they have heard the concerns.
"We work to bring them that programming they want to watch. We also to bring it at a good value to them and that is why we have to pay attention to these negotiations," says Hall.
As soon as a deal is reached, hall says the signal will go back on immediately, meaning there is a chance to see the big race. "It is terrible I hate to see anyone miss the chance to see the race especially like the Daytona 500. So we would like to get more people out," says Chris Sieger.
