In Lynchburg today,
more than one hundred Liberty University students dedicated their Saturday to
the school's community care initiative.
Today was the first
ever Love on Lynchburg Day where they pitched in on eighteen community service
projects across the city.
Students volunteered
at the Parkview Community Missions to help stock the food pantry and serve the
hungry. Students also helped out with
sweat equity to construct a youth media center in the Fairview Heights area.
Students also helped build wheelchair ramps for disabled residents, cleaned up
city spaces and played games and baked cookies at nursing homes.
