A brush fire in Amherst County burned between 20 to 25 acres of land Sunday.

At least five fire crews were called to Bank Mountain around 1:30 p.m. - for a brush fire near Sugar Hill Tunnel Road.

Officials say as of 9:30 p.m. the fire has been completely contained. However the Virginia Department of Forestry will remain on the scene overnight to make sure the fire doesn't continue to spread.
