Lewis Gale Montgomery hospital CEO talks specialists

BLACKSBURG, VA -

He just moved to the New River Valley last month, and we got our first chance to speak with the new CEO at Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital.

Alan Fabian came from a similar position in Louisiana, and says he has some challenges already on the horizon.

Most importantly, he wants to let patients know that specialist care is available in the NRV and hospital leaders will continue to grow the specialist and service lines.

"I think it's important to the community that they are able to get the services here. The high quality services and keeping the high quality physicians in the community. So not only keeping them here, but also recruiting in specialists," said Fabian.

Fabian lives in Montgomery County now, and says he may just become a Hokie fan soon.
