
A Roanoke County family is collecting books and bears to give to Carilion Clinic's Children's Hospital after the community has given them so much support.
Kelly and Matt Anderson's 5-month-old son, Stone was born with an intestinal problem and has been diagnosed with "failure to thrive."
Thursday and Friday, Polished by Claire V. is donating a portion of proceeds to the family while this mother and father are hoping to collect 250 books and bears for local sick kids.
"It's just important to go out and help other people because you never know when you're going to need it. We never thought that we would be in the situation where we would need the help of other people and here we are today and we need it," explained Kelly, Stone's mom.
