Blacksburg restaurant raises money for Virginia Tech service project

BLACKSBURG -

A restaurant in Blacksburg is doing their part to contribute to a good cause.

Log Cabin BBQ is working together with Virginia Tech students to raise money for the "Big Event."

It is a day in April when thousands of students complete hundreds of service projects in the area.

Twenty percent of the proceeds off meals goes toward the project.

"They have several projects throughout the whole area, the NRV, all the way down into Floyd County that participates in this, so for such a large scale I feel like this is just a small part I can pay back," said Brett Wolf, Owner of Log Cabin BBQ.

There are some door prizes including the first fifty students who showed up at five o'clock got one free combo a week for a whole year.
