A federal grand jury has indicted Steven Dale Branscome on a pair of gun charges.
Branscome shot a Virginia state trooper in March of 2008.
The shooting actually took place just across the border in West Virginia, where Branscome is now serving a 5 to 15 year prison sentence.
Branscome then led authorities on a nine day, multi-state manhunt before police finally caught up to him in Texas.
Branscome will be eligible for parole in West Virginia later this year.
If convicted, the federal gun charges could carry a 15 year prison sentence.
