Galax Hospital to offer consulting cardiology services

Twin County Regional Hospital (TCRH) is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Heart and Vascular Center of Galax to offer consulting cardiology services at the hospital beginning March 1, 2013.

The Heart and Vascular Center is renowned for its superior level of experience and care for cardiac patients.  Beginning March 1st, six board certified cardiology providers will begin rounding on patients at Twin County Regional Hospital which include: Charles Harris, Jr., MD; Nizar Noureddine, MD; Saeed Payvar, MD; Kenneth Rhinehart, MD; Behzad Taghizadeh, MD and Paula Carter, PA-C. 

  • Dr. Harris is a graduate of East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina.  He completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease. He is a Fellow of the American Board of Cardiology.
  • Dr. Noureddine is a graduate of Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia.  He completed his residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
  • Dr. Payvar is a graduate of Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
  • Dr. Rhinehart is a graduate of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.  He completed his residency at Howard University in Washington, DC.  He is board in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine.
  • Dr. Taghizadeh is a graduate of Saint George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.  He completed his residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York.  He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Paula Carter is a graduate of the Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia.  She is a board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
