Danville house fire

DANVILLE -

A Danville family doesn't have a roof over their heads tonight - after a fire ripped through their home.

Fire crews were called to the 600-block of Jefferson Street around 8:30 a.m. Saturday - where they saw fire and heavy smoke pouring out of the two-story home. Firefighters actually had to be pulled out of the home at one point - because the fire was spreading too quickly.

It took more than 30 firefighters over four hours to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No one was injured in the blaze. The family can not live in the home at this time - the Red Cross did offer assistance, however the family found their own temporary accommodations.
