
Radford police are searching for a suspected shoplifter who flashed a gun at the clerk - along with two other suspects.
On Saturday, at approximately 2:05 a.m. the Radford City Police Department responded to a weapons violation at 7 Eleven at 302 Tyler Avenue.
It was reported that a male shoplifted an item and was confronted by a store employee in the adjacent parking lot. The employee recovered the stolen item, and told the male to come back into the store and wait for the police.
Police say the man pulled up his shirt, showing the handle of a firearm in his waistband. The employee went back into the store without any further incident and the man left. The gun was not pointed at the employee and the employee was not hurt.
The male who displayed the weapon is described as black male 20-25 years of
age, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, grey pants, tennis shoes, and a possibly
red hat. The male was accompanied by three other black males described as
follows:
-Black Male 20-25 years of age, blue jeans, red short-sleeve shirt, long
dreads, toboggan with a white ball
-Black male 20-28 years of age, black pants, plaid shirt, black toboggan
-Black male 20-25 years of age, dark skinned, black hooded sweatshirt, red hat
