LSU announces 2013 football schedule

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

LSU will kickoff the 2013 season playing TCU in the Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas. The game between the Tigers and the Horned Frogs is scheduled for Saturday, August 31st and will be carried by ESPN with an 8:00 p.m kickoff.

It is the first meeting between LSU and TCU since 1968. LSU holds a 5-2-1 record against TCU.

After LSU's meeting against TCU, the Tigers come home to play three games in a row.

The home schedule includes UAB, Kent State, Auburn, Florida, Furman, Texas A&M and Arkansas.

The Tigers hit the road to play Georgia, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Alabama.

    Jeremy Johnson passed for 243 yards and two touchdowns in the first half and Nick Marshall returned from suspension with a 19-yard scoring run to lift No. 6 Auburn to a 45-21 opening victory over Arkansas on Saturday.
    The Auburn offense didn't slow down a bit, even with Nick Marshall a spectator for half the game.
