Snow hits Rockbridge County and I-81

Rockbridge County moves emergency shelter at Lylburn Downing School, to Stonewall Jackson Hospital ground floor meeting rooms.

WSLS reporter Erin Barnett shot video along the road to Goshen, which was hit with up to 10 inches of snow. The fire department in Goshen is setting up a shelter for people in the area who have lost electricity.

3:46 a.m.

The road conditions are getting worse as WSLS 10's Erin Barnett and her crew get closer to Lexington Wednesday morning.

They saw a drastic difference in conditions as they approached the Buchanan area.

The left lane of I-81 is covered in snow, and the right lane is partially covered. Traffic is moving slower than normal.
